Canadian Experience Class
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for skilled workers who have Canadian experience with an opportunity to become permanent residents.
Minimum requirements
- You must have completed one year paid work experience in Canada within the pervious 3 years.
- The experience must have been under skilled occupation which falls under Teer 0, 1, 2, or 3 job categories under Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Full-time work experience is considered 30 hours per week, with a total of 1560 working hours over a period of a minimum of 12 months. This experience must be gained with legal and valid work authorization.
Self-employment, work experience during your full-time studies, and co-ops and internships as part of your course do not count towards valid work experience for CEC.
- Applicants must meet or surpass CLB indicated below depending on the level of job.

Education:
- There is no education requirement for Canadian Experience Class, however it helps improve your overall CRS score.
